Ufo Obsession 1978

 The prints of the Band members were all cut out. The emulsion of each print was cut with a scalpel and the back stripped away. The darker edges were greyed, the lighter edges left. The background print was mounted onto double weight board and the member in the white shirt and the one in the dark jacket were glued in position.The members on the let and right were positioned without fixing. Holding one print at a time a scalpel was used to cut the underlying print to the exact shape of the print on top. The loose print was lifted and the piece of print that had been cut through on the print underneath was carefully removed. The edge of the top print was greyed and then secured in position with Columbia Cement. The central member was positioned without fixing and the prints underlying were cut in the same way and the cut pieces removed. Storm then positioned the ballbearings on this artwork and photographed it. The priint was given a blue toner. This final print was then retouched to remove some pieces of selotape that were used to hold the ball bearings in position.
